These are some sites my friends and I have visited over the years and either like or dislike

These are not adverts for sites you cannot book them via this website

You can, however, use the links provided or telephone the sites direct

You may not like these caravan sites as everyone's personal preferences are not the same. So please check them out yourself and don’t just take our word for it for them

Camping La Val de Trie

Moyenville

80870

France

We did this site Early May  for two nights The site is hidden in a valley full of trees, (no mobile phone signal at all)

The site is easily accessed by following your Sat Nav rather than the directions in the Camping cheques book !!

We found the site unkempt and in poor maintenance despite it have reviews as being eco friendly we though it was simply dirty.  The roadways are quite narrow and I would not like to take a twin axle there our van was scrapping the hedges as it is

Site details

Electric—depending on which socket you plug your lead into you can get normal wiring /live earth reverse /neutral /earth reverse so a tester is an absolute must, don’t know the amps probably 3

The toilet blocks (one in low season two open in high season) are cleaned twice a day

There are 2 children's unsupervised play areas

There is an open-air pool—which was shut whilst we were there (to early in the season)

All rubbish must be separated for recycling (as it now required EVERYWHERE in France)

They have a bar and food area also a TV lounge with UK/Dutch programs a shop and games area

They advertise farm visits for kids too

You can get bread delivered to your pitch at 8am every morning if you like a baguette leaving on your car bonnet without any wrapping ! (unless it’s raining)

They advertise fishing

You will note there is not a picture or mention   They have a muddy puddle they call a lake ??

Spent over an hour surveying  and feeding only to see very small fish (Pumpkinseed and tiny Nase or Roach)  So I didn’t do any fishing  similarly a fellow Carp Angler was quite a bit more abrasive about what he’d call it that I can’t even write it here
